Custom foam drawer inserts! The ultimate in organization!

You take a picture of your items in your drawer, and we'll laser cut a custom fit foam insert to hold them.   Its just that easy.

Here are a few tips for best results.

Take your picture straight down, above the center of the drawer, and not too close.  Make sure all four corners of the drawer bottom are visible in your picture.  For a typical phone camera, try to have the drawer cover only the middle 1/2 of the frame and don't use the wide angle lens.  If you can't get high enough above the drawer, take the whole drawer out and put it on the floor.  Our upload tool will let you crop the photo if you don't want to show off your dirty floor or worn out slippers, but you really don't have to.  Our robots don't care.

Try to have even lighting without harsh shadows but don't stress too much about it, our algorithms are pretty good. Matte black on matte black in dim basement lighting is pretty tough though.  If you don't have enough contrast, you can put a piece of paper down in your drawer for a better picture.

If you don't have the "drawer" you can put your items on a piece of paper and draw a line around them the size of your drawer.  We'll use the inside of the line if its a thick line.

Measure the inside of your drawer as accurately as possible.  Its what we will use to determine the scale of your items.

We can cut some pretty small lines but they won't do you much good in real life.   We recommend a 6mm spacing between objects.

"Medium" covers most mid-size tool box drawers, typically up to 24x16"
"Large" covers the standard Vidmar and Lista 30x30" cabinets and then some.

We can cut much bigger drawers, but shipping gets prohibitive.  Feel free to place your order as a "x-large" drawer, and we'll confirm detailed pricing by email.  If you are local in the Seattle area, we can arrange delivery.

All top foam is 1/2" thick.

All drawers optionally include a 1/4" (6mm) or 1/2" (12mm) layer of base foam.  We don't currently offer any adhesive backed options, but they are pretty easy to stick together with common shop supplies, and if its a tight fit into your drawer you probably won't need to bother.

More detailed instructions, details about our foam, process, shipping, and more are available in our FAQ. If you still have questions contact us here and we'd be glad to help.
